I eat at the Pub often. The food is excellent and the menu varied. John will work with me on dietary restrictions. The day bartenders are attractive and competent. The pork Ts are done to perfection and the large selection of hamburgers has something for every palate. I probably won't go back until today.

I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich, and when it came out, they served me bread with mold on it, and the pork was severely undercooked and gray. I left the "pub" hungry, as my food was mostly inedible. In addition, the local drunks seemed to run the bar, not the staff.

I cannot even give it a half star. After a 40 minute wait we still did not have our food. There was only one other table of folks who were eating and they waited a long time. It also was not clean. We paid for our drinks and left

Very good food with an amazing variety of selections - 12 different hamburgers, fried chicken, spaghetti, raviolis (actually tortellini), soups sandwiches and multiple specials every day. The selection of beers and ciders offers a wide choice of both the standards and craft brews. The bartender staff is always friendly, attentive, and helpful. Its a great local spot for lunch or early dinner. Late in the evening (9:00 pm or later - which is late for me anyway) they have live music from bluegrass to blues to hard rock. So its reasonably quiet (you can talk!) during the day and early evening and it can get loud at night. The owner is almost always there and is very friendly and helpful. In summer he hosts bike riding bar tours of La Salle - Peru that are fun and invigorating (lots of hills in La Salle - Peru) and are fund raisers for local charities. Great food and a wide beer selection - good prices and great service!

A great local bar. Food is excellent - try the fried chicken. Personally I love the pork tenderloins - a specialty of this area. Also - the garlic breath burger! Oh yes, the fried chicken. I guess I could recommend everything! Wide variety of beers. The owner is there to welcome you. During the summer the pub sponsors bike rides (Pub crawls) to different bars in La Salle - Peru which raise money for local charities.

9th St. Pub is okay. I come here every few weeks for a drink during the week because I can't stand the crowd on the weekend and how loud and crowded it gets in there. You get a good drink in here if you tip your bartender appropriately. I really like the bartenders in this bar. They are very friendly and are willing to help you find some music that you would enjoy listening to. Some of the people who hang out in here can be kind of seedy but you can expect that in any bar. So far so good for this place. I hear their food during the day is awesome though but I've never had any of it myself but give it a try if you want somewhere to eat.

Didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised! We ordered a burger and their fried chicken special along with a few drinks. The burger was excellent (Tex Mex) I believe. The fried chicken was even better! Tasted like the Colonel's or very close! Atmosphere was good, nothing fancy - but it's a pub. Waitress was friendly. Great value as the chicken was $2.95 with fries. Our total bill with tip was under $30.00 for two of us and that was with multiple beer's and a mixed drink. Great place to go if you want a good meal for a reasonable price! Compliments to the cook!
